You made a world, and filled it full of wonders that did stir the soul, Of beauty long forgotten now, for we turned out backs on you Your plan was good right from the start Although You knew the human heart would have to learn to love, be true, To give itself to you You’ve watched us through the centuries Sent us help and heard our pleas; You saved us from ourselves more often than we care to see ... And though it seemed our world was doomed, That all you loved would be consumed by evil thoughts of evil men You stepped in once again For God so loved the world He gave His only son, to serve, to save To show us how to live, and to find Our way back home To our Father’s side He came in love, and came to serve He brought what we did not deserve; He stayed the course, stuck to the plan And saw it to the end And now He’s back with You on High Yet lives in us at the same time And one day near a bitter end He’ll come to us again For God so loved the world He gave His only son, to serve, to save To show us how to live, and to find Our way back home To our Father’s side You knew we would resist you You knew that we would fall You knew it all beforehand But You had a plan to save us all For God so loved the world He gave His only son, to serve, to save To show us how to live, and to find Our way back home To our Father’s side

There was a day when the thoughts of man were free-- free from hatred and suspicion, free from greed and from envy; There was a time when we’d awake to find the day full of promise, full of sunlight, only beauty on display; There was a point in time when all we saw was good, when our thoughts were on the world around and building what we could to make things better, always better. There was a world that was beautiful and free, Where we ran among the flora and feasted from the trees; There was a place where doubt and fear were yet unknown, where only love was ever present, what a pleasure to behold! There was a moment in eternity when men and all creatures lived in peace on earth, oh, way back when, CHORUS: Before our eyes were opened, and we wanted our own way Before our world was broken by the choice we made that day Our innocence forsaken, our will on full display, Before our eyes were opened Before we lost our way When I close my eyes, now, I can almost see What we were & where we came from, even how life used to be; When we could look at one another without fear, work together on this planet, free of sickness, death and tears; In that garden of our childhood where we felt so loved, so free, well before our eyes were opened and our central thought was ‘me’ and what I'm wanting, and what I'm needing... There was a plan set before us to fulfill in a paradise where all was good, with so much room to build; There was a project so ambitious in it's scale, our every need anticipated, and provided in detail; A world was waiting just to see what we would do with this gift that we were given, and what we would chose CHORUS: Before our eyes were opened, and we wanted our own way Before our world was broken by the choices that we made Our innocence forsaken, our will on full display, Before our eyes were opened ...before we lost our way [Bridge] Now I’m longing for the day When Creation's renovation is complete Hey,hey, and peace on earth is here to stay; When we see our world as it was meant to be CHORUS: Before our eyes were opened, and we wanted our own way Before our world was broken by the choices we made that day Our innocence forsaken, our evil on display, Before our eyes were opened Before we lost our way Before we lost our way

CHORUS: Come to the table of Grace To the hungry He’s calling: “Draw near and partake" Out from the highways, the byways and lands Enter into the goodness He’s planned Come to the table that’s set There a bountiful feast, with no price to be met Ye hungry and thirsty come taste Taste and see how He loves you today If you hear, if you will - Come He is here, here for you - Come He waits for you, calls to you, “Come to Me…” He’s the Way, He is truth - Come He’s the Life you need today - Come He’s the start of all you’ll need - “Come and see!” [CHORUS] He is there in your head - Come He wants to live in your heart - Come He signals you, calls to you, “Come to Me…” He wants to talk to you today - Come He wants to save your life today - Come He is what you’ll always need - “Come and see!” [CHORUS x2]

I know you are my Father, yet I feel i barely know you You're real, of that I'm certain for I've seen Your works around me. But You’re vast just like the universe and distant as Icarus,* I need to know You're here right now and with me in the silence. I've heard of you, I've read your words, From early on I prayed to you I've called your name when things went bad. [went wrong]. And sad to say, I've cursed You, too But I find comfort in Your Son. In the things He said and did How He loved us, gave His all, What He taught and how He lived All He could talk about was You Your great goodness and Your love He convinced me that it's true Showed me who you are Put a face on You So now I'm trying to follow, and to live as you've instructed And do so in a world that doesn't seem to want to know You It doesn't help You can't be seen, and dwell outside our senses And tend to work behind the scenes in mysterious circumstances But I'll keep trying to know Your love Though You are light while I am sand And I'm so far from all You are And barely start to understand But I find comfort in Your Son In the things He said and did How He loved us, gave His all What He taught and how He lived All He could talk about was You Your great goodness and your love He convinced me it's all true Showed me who you are and put a face on So I'll pray to You, and call your name I'll worship You with all I've got I'll praise You for all that I confront Whether I feel you near or not For I've found comfort in Your Son... In the things He said and did How He loved and gave His all What He taught and how He lived All I will talk about is You Your great goodness and your love For He convinced me it's all true Showed me who you are and put a face on You He embodied who you are Brought it down to earth -- In His beauty I see You.

VERSE: You know that no one can take away from you That thing we call influence, the way you do what you do No matter the/what situation you encounter, it’s a fact: You and you alone choose how you’ll react V2 Nobody can force you to respond/think or act a certain way So I suggest prudence in the things you choose today You’ll surely affect each and everyone you meet today Will they be happy that they met you, or relieved you walked away? CHORUS Do what you can, where you are Use what you have in your hand Keep shooting for the highest star But don’t forget your fellow man Be the change right where you are start with who’s there facing you Give what you can and be glad for what simple acts of love can do V3 Every man has his secret sorrows, & may be having a tough day And a small word of comfort may help chase some/those blues away And a small word of comfort could only help, it’s safe to day You have no control over what others say or do But how you use your time, your money or your energy is up to you CHORUS Do what you can, where you are Use what you have in your hand Keep shooting for the highest star Just don’t forget your fellow man Be the change right where you are Start with who’s there facing you Give what you can and be glad for what simple acts of love can do Bridge: Jesus didn’t hand out a lot of compliments while in our world, But He praised one lowly woman saying: “She has done/did what she could”

You are loved more than you know it, baby You are loved, more than you feel it maybe You are here, and there’s a reason for you So dry those tears You are known, every thought inside you You are known, every reason why you Feel the way you feel today-- You’re not alone. But you alone must find the road that’s meant for you And do what you alone will do With this treasure that’s been given you You are now, so make the most of what you’re here to do We believe in you You are here to fill a space that only you can fill To make a place among the ones you will let into your heart and into your life You’re alive, in every sense you’re meant to live your life To be true to what you feel is true and know is right, With head held high You alone must find the strength to face each day Rise every morning come what may Recover hope when you have lost the/your way You’re all right, you’re going to make it Going to be all right, We believe in you Bridge But you alone are not enough to stem the tide Others will join you in the fight And take their places by your side, one by one You will find they are the the riches of this life So choose them slowly and be wise They’ll make al) the difference in your life You’ll be fine, you’re gonna make it, gonna be all right We believe in you Bridge 2 You alone will have to answer when it’s done for choices made and races run So set your mind to what must be done, and then begin Determine now to find the beauty in each day (And) In those you meet along the way You may not pass that way again And, remember, You are loved more than you know it, baby You are loved, more than you feel it maybe You are here, and there’s a reason for you So dry those tears You are known, every thought inside you You are known, every reason why feel the way you feel today We believe in you And you are not alone

She hadn’t slept much these 2 nights tortured by the things she’d seen The images of whips and nails, All burning in her memory The One she loved the most on earth Had just been taken from her life/side And now with dearest friends in tow She’d come to say goodbye But then as they approached the place And saw the stone was rolled away With tears rolling down her troubled face She asked a gardener where He lay He could have answered anything -- Some glorious truth perhaps proclaim -- Instead as they stood face to face Jesus simply said her name: “Mary!” Can you hear Him call your name As He called hers that morn? He gave His life, then rose again That we might be reborn. He conquered death, broke evil’s might And opened Heaven’s door To lead us out into the light Set free forever more. Are you weeping now somewhere Troubled by some circumstance? If Life is more than you can bear I counsel you, give Him a chance When you let Him into your life -- Nothing to lose, and all to gain -- You will find that He’ll appear And gently call your name Can you hear Him call your name, As He called hers that morn? He gave His life, then rose again That we might be reborn He conquered death, broke evil’s might And opened Heaven’s door To lead us out into the light Set free forever more. Can you hear Him call your name, As He called hers that morn? He gave His life, then rose again That we might be reborn He conquered death, broke evil’s might And opened Heaven’s door To lead us out into the light Set free forever more.

You will come, your time will come, The time I have ordained for you But rest assured, and know that Your time is in my hands You will come, your time will come, The time I have ordained for you But rest assured, and know that Your time is in my hands I will be your God throughout all your lifetime I have made you, and will bear you I Will carry you and care for you even unto your old age (Isa 46:4) You will come, your time will come, The time I have ordained for you So rest assured, and know that Your time is in my hands You will come, your time will come, The time I have ordained for you So rest assured, believe that Your time is in my hands This is the blessing wherewith I have blessed you: An inheritance in heaven That will never spoil or perish, And that fadeth not away (1 Pet 1:5) You will come, your time will come, The time I have ordained for you So rest assured, and know that Your time is in my hands Yes, You will come, your time will come, The time I have ordained for you So rest assured, believe that Your time is in my hands Rest assured, and know that Your time is in my hands

The Power of One I have seen with my own eyes the power that lies within A sole individual who determines to begin To run a race that few attempt, they take that first step forward And something like a miracle will gradually unfold Though forces which you can’t control may try to wear you down If you BELIEVE you can, any battle is half won So seek your strength from deep within, and friends who gather round you And look up to the Source of Love for strength you never knew you had Chorus: And believe, just believe, and all things will be possible The voices nearly audible that cheer you to fight on Just believe, only believe, and the power of faith will find you Every victory will remind you of all that can be done Through the power of one. If you think you can, or think you can’t, either way you’re right Each battle is waged within the recesses of your mind Small beginnings, greater ends will have to be your focus A journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step So lift your eyes above the crowds, & the madness all around And look to a future where your finished works abound Don’t judge each day by harvests reaped, but by the seeds you've planted Be grateful for each tiny step, take nothing gained for granted Chorus And believe, only believe, and all things will be possible the voices nearly audible that cheer you to fight on Just believe, only believe, and the power of faith will find you Every victory will remind you of all that can be done Through the power of one.

I am not afraid to die, For I know my Redeemer lives And because my Redeemer lives, So will I, so will I I am not afraid to cross that line For my Redeemer lives, And because my Redeemer lives, So will, I so will I He came to be one of us Was born a helpless child He grew and walked among us And taught us how to live and die, so I am not afraid to die, For I know my Redeemer lives And because my Redeemer lives, So will I, so will I I am not afraid to cross that line For my Redeemer lives, And because my Redeemer lives, So will, I so will I He promised life eternal To all who will believe His body was the kernel Planted for a world to feed, a world to feed I am not afraid to die, For I know my Redeemer lives And because my Redeemer lives, So will I, so will I I am not afraid to cross that line For my Redeemer lives, And because my Redeemer lives, So will, I so will I

This Far 03:22 video
We stand upon a threshold, looking through an open door Nervous for what lies ahead, unsure of what’s in store But glancing back it’s plain to see that you were always there That we made it this far by your grace is clear Though we felt at times we fell behind and you had gone/moved ahead You’d pick us up with words of love and encourage us instead So as we embark on this new step we’re trusting as before that you’ll lead us where you’d have us be once more, CHORUS: You have helped us make it this far and You never left our side You walked us through the darkness out into the glorious light When we couldn’t see one foot ahead you urged us to go on You have helped us make it this far And we’re trusting you, that You’ll surely bring us home Except you go before us we will surely lose our way The road is rough, with curves and turns, and changes day by day We’ve learned to trust that you are with us, and no, never very far That the safest place to be is where You are CHORUS: You have helped us make it this far and You never left our side You walked us through the darkness out into the glorious light When we couldn’t see one foot ahead you urged us to go on You have helped us make it this far And we’re trusting you, that You’ll surely lead us home BRIDGE You have placed within our reach Everything that we will need So we’re off to our promised land Holding to your hand CHORUS: You have helped us make it this far and You never left our side You walked us through the darkness out into the glorious light When we couldn’t see one foot ahead you urged us to go on You have helped us make it this far And we’re trusting you, that You’ll surely bring us home

A little child, so small and weak So similar to you and me We know His story, how it went His life amongst the poor His growing up in troubled lands Confronting all the worst in man Yet never ceasing to believe His Father’s love was more ... More than able to relieve the suffering He’d daily see And as He grew from child to man He watched and took it in Then following His father’s voice He made a good but deadly choice that led Him on to calvary to save humanity Easter is the reason we have Christmas We all love to see Jesus as a babe But we can’t forget He came to suffer violence To give His life, then rise on Easter Day We love the angels, shepherds, star and wise men But let’s remember how that came to be You see, Easter is the reason we have Christmas Someone was born to die for you and me. So at Cmas time we celebrate the One who came to liberate The day when God became a man to execute His plan The plan to save our troubled race So on a cross He took our place It all began in Bethlehem When God became a man Easter is the reason we have Christmas We all love to see Jesus as a babe But we can’t forget He came to suffer violence To give His life, then rise on Easter Day We love the angels, shepherds, star and wise men But let’s remember how that came to be You see, Easter is the reason we have Christmas Someone was born to die for you and me.

Another christmas rolls around-- The sights and sounds invade us We should have learned to love by now, But peace on earth evades us War and destruction all around and evil walks among us Yet in the old beloved story True love, new hope, real peace can still be found CHORUS: Unto us a child was born, Unto us a son was given For God so loved the world He gave The One He loved in Heaven Let’s celebrate Emmanuel! Let’s celebrate that God is with us!-- That HIs kingdom’s come to earth & His Spirit lives within us. We've made a mess of things so far And dropped the ball He gave us But when let Him rule our lives His Spirit makes all the difference We somehow do the impossible of loving those around us He paves the way for peace on earth Where grace, real hope, true love can now be found CHORUS: Unto us a child was born, Unto us a son was given For God so loved the world He gave The One He loved in Heaven Let’s celebrate Emmanuel! Let’s celebrate that God is with us!-- That HIs kingdom’s come to earth & His Spirit lives within us. Bridge: HE GAVE and gave, and gave, Now He waits and waits and waits While we decide, decide, decide To let Him in our life CHORUS: Unto us a child was born, Unto us a son was given For God so loved the world He gave The One He loved in Heaven Let’s celebrate Emmanuel! Let’s celebrate that God is with us!-- That HIs kingdom’s come to earth & His Spirit lives within us.

about

The songs for this album were written nearly in their entirety as part of the SAMPROJ (Song-a-Month Project) that I tackled in 2019. I had reached a point in my songwriting where the steady stream of songs I'd been receiving over the last 52 years had dwindled to a trickle, but was challenged with this project to lay aside my doubts and fears and 'go for it' with some of the best songs I've ever written in my opinion.

Please enjoy the songs in sequence, as a whole, and feel the love (as I did when receiving each one) of how much we are loved and of value; and marvel at the plan He has had from the beginning until now; one He has, in fact, never wavered from, though WE have affected it greatly, altering what He had in mind for us with our 'better ideas,' until today.

I urge you listen to this album on headphones, and meditate on what He has in store for YOU as an individual, for US as a race, and for CREATION itself--every animal, plant, rock, tree, lake and stream. And then as much as possible, on a daily basis, let's all try whoever we are to get BACK to that PERFECT PLAN, to make it happen amongst those around us, and as Gandhi urged "BE the change that we want to see in the world."
