There is a beautiful world to come, which is nice to focus on in order to have the strength to help right the things gone wrong in our present existence, with all it's challenges. Of course, we can't be 'so heavenly minded that we're no earthly good...'but neither should we lose sight of the wonders that await us, which can only serve to give us the strength here and now to fight to make things better, and work towards making things as close to 'on earth, as it is in heaven' as possible.
